Saturday October 28th Recreational OUTSIDE the ponds and the harbor.

Monday October 30th Commercial OUTSIDE the ponds and the harbor.

Saturday November 4th Recreational Lagoon Pond

Monday November 6th Commercial Lagoon Pond

NO Scalloping in our experimental eelgrass areas!

Saturday December 2nd Recreational Tashmoo ** No dragging

Monday December 4th Commercial Tashmoo ** No dragging

Time from 7am-4pm Sunday-Saturday so if you went on a shellfishing on Sunday you can’t go until the following Sunday. Regardless of what species you are fishing for.

Place to land shellfish Lagoon Landing (boat ramp), Lake Street boat ramp, Tashmoo.

Limit Family (recreational) 1 level bushel of adult scallops/week

Commercial Limit 3 level bushels/day M-F

There shall be no dragging for scallops in Tashmoo.

There shall be no scalloping for scallops in the Lagoon in areas marked by the Shellfish Constable. Look for bright red/orange buoys there’s an area north of Hines Point, and an area at the head of the Lagoon. 

There shall be no dragging in the family area in the Lagoon. This is for dip-netters only!

Prohibited areas that are closed for quahogs are open to bay scalloping.

This is a photo of the seed scallops the shellfish department grew this summer.  These are still immature and will be ready to harvest next scallop season.
