Wastewater Facility - New Fees

The Tisbury Department of Public Works is responsible for operating and maintaining the Town's Sewage Plant and its Distribution System, which includes a 100,000 gallons per day (GPD) plant, and over 85 grinder pumps within the Distribution System.
The Tisbury Board of Selectmen has approved the following fees to ensure the fiscal viability of the Tisbury Wastewater Facility and its associated collection system.
Rates: | 0.0410 cents per gallon - Wastewater $50.00 - Quarterly base connection $50 - Emergency service charge during normal business hours M - F 7:00am to 4:00pm $150 - After hours emergency service charge 20 cents per gallon - Septage |
Note: Most emergency calls can be avoided by eliminating the flushing of all types of cleaning wipes, and removal of fats, oil, and greases. We ask that residents put these items into containers and into the trash rather than flushing or pouring them down the drain.
Each Property Owners pump chamber will be checked a minimum of two (2) times during the year to ensure the proper functioning and to strain out any floating material.
