Vineyard Haven Library Temporary Closing Begins Monday March 16th

Vineyard Haven Library

Vineyard Haven Public Library will be open regular hours this weekend,

10 am to 5:30 pm Saturday March 14th and Noon to 4 pm on Sunday March 15th. In response to the current public health emergency, the library building will be closed to the public for at least two weeks beginning on Monday, March 16th. All previously announced library events and meetings have been canceled or postponed. We apologize to all our patrons for any inconvenience and hope to reschedule the canceled programs in the near future.

We request that library patrons do not return any items currently checked out until the library reopens -- all due dates will be extended indefinitely and no charges will accrue.

Immediate plans are for library staff to be available to assist patrons with reference questions by phone or email, and self-service holds pickup will be set up in the library's entry vestibule during scheduled hours. Additional details of these services will be announced very soon. For the latest information please visit our website http://vhlibrary.org/ or follow our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/vhlibrary/.

We also invite you and your family to make use of the entertainment and learning resources resources in our Digital Library, including eBooks and downloadable audiobooks on Overdrive, streaming movies on Kanopy, and online classes through Universal Class. Access these resources through our website at http://vhlibrary.org/econtent.shtml.

Massachusetts residents can access additional online reading and entertainment resources by registering for a Boston Public Library eCard:https://www.bpl.org/ecard/
