Eversource Gate and Barrier Project

Eversource is conducting work along the Eversource Right of Way in Tisbury.

Gates and barriers will be installed in several locations from West Tashmoo Avenue to Lake Street to prohibit unauthorized use of the right of way, to protect the electric infrastructure and for the general safety of the public. Securing these assets will help ensure reliable electric service and benefit our customers. Tisbury town officials have waited several years for this project to be implemented to see that the Eversource Right of Way areas are free of illegal dumping of rubbish and debris and unauthorized vehicle traffic.

This project will not interrupt electric service to the area, and while there will be construction vehicles in the electric corridor, including heavy equipment, Eversource will make every effort to minimize the impact to the abutting properties.

Hours of construction will typically be 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Saturday. Eversource anticipates that the project will take approximately 2-3  weeks.
