Complete Street Project

Complete Streets is a program initiated by Mass DOT to help communities create streets that provide safe and accessible options for all travel modes -- walking biking transit and motorized vehicles.  Designing streets with these principles contributes toward safety health, economic viability and quality of life.

MASS DOT established a Complete Streets funding program to help communities plan and undertake improvement projects that provide context-sensitive, multi-modal options on appropriate roadways.

With funding from MASS DOT, the town has hired consultants (Howard Stein Hudson) to help us prepare a prioritization plan that will identify our priority Complete Street projects. Once the prioritization plan is complete the town will eligible for funding to implement priority projects.

Your participation is important!  Help us identify areas in town where, pedestrian, bike, and transit circulation could be improved.
